The work (still in progress) is a result of my long term interest in maritime plastic waste. I’ve gathered plastic bags and odd bits of plastic filaments drifted ashore.

The installation consists of two plastic tapestries (110x90 cm each) entitled Soleil levant and Soleil couchant woven out of plastic waste. On the floor – between the two rugs hanging on opposite walls – lays a 4,5 m long and 1 m wide sun path Aurora Nonelis.

In addition to the rugs and the sunpath, the work includes Plastic Horizon, a linear sculpture put together of microplastics.
